Hi Your description sounds like a typo. Can you provide more details, and perhaps screen shots to show what kind of search you are doing, what is typed in and how it changes? Find help the first letter just keeps moving along, see attached screenshot as requested

Perhaps try Firefox. The developers of the web site here undoubtedly use it.
