I upgraded to TB 68.3 and it ssays I need to restart my computr to finish installation and I have many many times but keep getting the same message.

I then tried to uninstall the update and get the same message about restarting my computer to finish the installation. I have been using TB for years but never had any problems until now.

Chosen solution

I had to contact HP to get the broken install removed . It then installed correctly. Problem solved.

Restart the operating system in safe mode with Networking. This loads only the very basics needed to start your computer while enabling an Internet connection. Install or update Thunderbird. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, OSX

If safe mode for the operating system fixes the issue, there's other software in your computer that's causing problems. Possibilities include but not limited to: AV scanning, virus/malware, background downloads such as program updates.

No. Tried it but did not help. I just need to remove TB and reinstall it
