My migration to new computer is not working on imap inbox
I installed the latest version of Thunderbird on my new computer and then copied the C:\User\myuser\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird folder over the top of my new computer's C:\User\myuser\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird and everything seems to have come over. When I click on all of my Local folders, I can read the emails. I can also send emails. HOWEVER, when I click on any of my Inbox email (which is coming in off an imap.gmail.com server, it just hangs and in the lower left says Google: Connected to imap.gmail.com... and the "green"(?) line in the bottom right looks like it is going out to the server, but nothing shows up! Am I just being impatient? Also, the sent email doesn't show up in the Sent Mail folder! Anyone got any ideas?

You moved Thunderbird, but I doubt the anti virus/ Internet security suite is anything but new. So I suggest it is the obvious place to start looking for a problem.
- Try disabling your anti virus mail scanner.
- Try checking Thunderbird is allowed out to the internet in your anti virus firewall.
Hi Matt, Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately, that was not it. It had to do with our new 2-step verification! I went and removed Thunderbird, removed the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird folder, went back to my old laptop and changed the Authentication method to OAuth2, saved it, closed out and went back in and it asked me to log in to my gmail account, which I did. I then went to my new machine, reinstalled Thunderbird, closed it out, again removed the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird folder, and then copied it from my old laptop and restarted Thunderbird and it worked!
