custom url new tab?

more options

I would like to be able to put a custom URL in my new tab settings. I like the mozilla under my home button. I like to be able to use google search in the address bar(most of the times(seperate field would be better)). When I open a new tab going to my own search engine would be a nice feature.

Thanks,

Hi, you can do all that you want to do. Search

So you like all the Tiles and stuff for homepage/New Tab ?

Now you can do this and have the above and your New Tab for your Search open at the same time. Please Copy/Paste about:preferences#home to the Address Bar and then Enter. Home Page and New Windows copy the address that is there to your mouse then switch the Tab to Custom Url's and paste that back if it is gone.

Then click in the box and use the right arrow key to go to the end of the URL and add a Vertical Line ( | ) then copy and paste your Search Engine URL into there. Or if do not like the tiles and stuff turn things off from that page. also : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/
