we can't use firefox since microsoft update yesterday as it's won't verify the security of common sites like google and facebook

This previously happened on my husbands old laptop and we never got to the bottom of it.
Everything was running fine until an update on windows 10 yesterday afternoon.
Now it will not load any pages even Google, Facebook, BBC without displaying:
Your connection is not secure
The owner of www.facebook.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox may only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.
So unless I can solve this I can no longer use your browser. We don't have any family setting on the laptop at all and I also looked at advice on moving a 'family' certificate over to firefox but that particular certificate isn't listed in mine and it was advice for windows 7 so it all may have changed?
Please help as my husband loves using this browser.

thank you, so it appears that your secure connections are getting intercepted by kaspersky which is injecting an untrusted certificate. please follow the steps for this that are described in How to troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites

hello, first please make sure that the date, time & timezone are set correctly on your system. if this doesn't solve the issue (or it is already set properly), a solution depends on the individual circumstances:
- what is the error code shown when you click on advanced on that error page?
- please also give us more information about the error by clicking on the error code, copying the text to the clipboard and then pasting it here into a reply in the forum.
