When I press on the menu button it does not show the option to store a bookmark. I can save a shortcut to desktop or share with others but no star shows for storing a bookmark.

Hi Maybe you have customize your Firefox and then move your bookmark button another place. You can find bookmark button from menu then click on customize and find bookmark button and just drag & drop it. Or you can reset your Firefox in default and you will find bookmark.

What device do you have?

On the phone version, the star icon usually is the first thing on the second row of icons on the menu. I'm not sure about the tablet version.

You can reset from app manager in Android devices. Or just reinstall your Firefox.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. I have found that if I press where the star SHOULD be it stores so I am guessing there is a problem with the install of one of the updates. If I reinstall or reset I lose all of my bookmarks. Is there a way to back up bookmarks? Thanks!

Best way is, using Firefox sync. Sign up in Firefox Sync if you have no account and syncing your bookmark. You can choose which information you want to sync follow this link How do I choose what types of information to sync on Firefox?

There was another way to export bookmark like this process or using apps. But i think Firefox sync is the best way and its up to you.
