I want to use Firefox on my Phone to sync with my desktop, but try as i might I cannot find the bookmark star. Please don't tell me to tap the settings menu, because it simply is not there. The top line is icons, back, forward and refresh. The next icons are reader and share. Then text, New Tab, New Private Tab, Find in Page, Request Desktop Site, Page, Tools, Settings and Help. There is NO bookmark star. Please don't force me back to Chrome. They no longer support 32bit linux so I won't use it on the desktop.

Chosen solution

I don't supposed the filled-in star appears after the page has been bookmarked... still an empty space?

Same problem in both Portrait and Landscape orientation?

Not sure what else could be relevant.

The star should be the first thing on that second row of icons.

Do you have the new version 45?

Do you have any add-ons installed? You can check those using menu > Tools > Add-ons (see also Uninstall Firefox for Android add-ons).

Strange thing... I have version 45, with no add ons. The star isn't there, but a tap on that first space on the second row of icons does actually bookmark the page. Obviously a bug...

Yes still an empty space, portrait or landscape. The 'space' works to delete a bookmark too, as it would if the star were there. Maybe it'll get fixed in an update soon. Thanks for your help, I can now remove the less than helpful Chrome and use the same browser on phone and desktop.
