I have Firefox as my main browser, but it also took over my Internet Explorer browser page. If I wish to use I.E. I can't. Instead I get a Firefox download page

Firefox works fine. It is my main browser. But I have two of them (?) Now, I have no Internet Explorer (which I still use too, and I also use Google when I choose to do so). But when I click on I.E. icon, a Firefox page loads asking me to download Firefox, which I already have the latest version of. At times I need all 3 different browsers. NOT 2 Firefox Browsers. I need to have my I.E. restored and I can't figure out how to do it. Firefox not only updated my regular Firefox main browser, but it also took over the I.E. browser, too.

Firefox is a separate web browser (for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux) as it does integrate with IE nor is it a shell for IE on Windows.

Are you sure your IE is not just opening up to a www.mozilla.org url in the Address bar to download Firefox?

Firefox was apparently made the default browser. You can still run Win IE by calling it thru the Windows menus. You cal also create a desktop shortcut to call IE directly.

According to the information supplied by your browser when you posted this question, you were using Internet Explorer 9. So IE seems to be working, even if it is looking a bit more like Firefox than you remembered.

If your home page in IE got changed, you can change it back using the Internet Settings dialog. See: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/change-home-page#ie=ie-9
