Hi, I'm Automaticaneuro, a registered member of SUMO. I find a reason why Firefox crashed unexpectedly and I provide all the technical data need it to reproduce it... I propose it to be included in the help document provided to Firefox users as a guide for help finding a solution... but months has pass and my correction was rejected without a formal explanation... there is a link to the recent revisions (https://support.mozilla.org/es/kb/revisions?locale=&users=Automaticaneuro&start=&end=) and I encourage you to take a close look if you are really here to help Firefox users.

Thanks in advance for your time

hmm trying to put in your part before the table of contents even.

As said https://support.mozilla.org/questions/ is not the place to discuss the article as the place to do so is in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-troubleshoot-prevent-and-get-help/discuss

You should talk through this in the article's discussion page, not here. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-troubleshoot-prevent-and-get-help/discuss

If you include links to other software (www.analogx.com) like you did in your first two edits then this edit will never be approved.

If you want to include problems caused by other programs that run on a computer then best would be to include a suggestion to boot the computer in Safe Mode. This would require specific steps for all affected platforms (Windows: {for win}).

Thanks cor-el for your answer... it is the first answer that I get in more than one month... I understand what you say about do not mention links to another software... I´m agree with this... thats Why I delete the technical data in the third edition of my propose even when you can not reproduce the crash without the details and even when the original help article approved by Mozilla community include a mention to a third party software non controlled by Mozilla... so... there is no coherence between the rule and the article contains.... any way I´m not interested in to made publicity for "analogX"... just say to Mozilla users that there is another possible reason for the crash that has been not included in the help article.

I don´t think that it is a good idea to propose boot the computer in safe mode... cause if I have to do this to use Mozilla... then it is better use another browser... setting aside the user vulnerable position implied into test a browser in the web with the security tools (like antivirus/firewalls/anti spywares) deactivated (as happens in "Safe mode")... RAM memory manager are programs installed by the user... so the user have direct control over it. If you wants to avoid compatibility problems just shut it down... this is... in resume.... all that I proposed.

I know that this is not the appropriate place to speak about this problem... sorry... but... as you can see... I probable never get an answer if I don´t launch the issue in other Mozilla channels.

So... thanks for your time, please, as a Mozilla compromised member try to spread the fact in your own words for the benefit of all Mozilla users

Dear James... I know this is not the correct section... there is no confusion about... but at least theres is people here ready to listen, like you... that try to help... I didn't find those kind of people "in the correct section"... Remember... and this is for all the other people who try to "fix" the problem saying: '''"this is not the correct section"'''... You are not helping me... I am not asking for help... I fix my problem... I found a reason that was not included in the help article and I am trying to spread my experience in benefit of all Mozilla users even if the discussion section is not working properly.

The kb articles here are not really a dumping place for people to say "This worked for me on this system, try this" ideas.

Point is you can bring it up in the discussion page and people who are experienced with the article writings can look at. If it was a good idea that worked, then somebody can work at incorporating it neatly into the article in the same format the rest of the article is done as.
