"too many simultaneous connections" error with Gmail
I have suddenly started getting the "too many simultaneous connections" error with Gmail with one of my gmail accounss. I googled it and it seems like an old problem and I tried all the recommended solutions but none worked. I have two gmail accounts and the second one continues to work fine. Suggestions!

Reducing the number of labels solved this problem. Seems specific to TB and GMail (google says you can have hundreds of emails--I have about 60). There are mentions of this that can be found via google--but no definitive statements about the problem, workarounds, etc. Now I will be anxious next time I add a label, not knowing whether it will work or cause this problem.

can you log in using a browser? Usually of no interest, but google block accounts and only notify on an attempt to log in using the browser why that is.
Are you using application passwords? Are you using two factor authentication? Have you got allow access for less secure applications turned on?
No problem logging in with Firefox or IE. I'm not using app passwords, two-factor authentication. Not sure about access for less secure applications--what is that?
I read that the number of Labels can be a problem so I eliminated some and that seems to make a difference. Is there any documentation about that issue?

If you're also connecting via a mobile device this will also count.
