I got my answer from the irc chat again! Create a .desktop file, drag it to the firefox folder in /home, click on it to open firefox, and then lock it to the launcher.

I'm no Linux wiz, but Ubuntu comes pre-installed with Firefox, and the icon has never had problems for me. Does Firefox have the icon when installed from Ubuntu App Store? I'd reboot just to check.

Yes, and I am more familiar with the Official Version than I am with the Ubuntu Version. When I had the Ubuntu Version installed, the icon in the launcher was already there and I did not have to worry about it. When I installed the Official Mozilla Version the icon was missing and I had to lock it to the launcher. When I started the program from within the folder, the only thing showing in the launcher is a ? in a gray box.
