I am a little concerned that since about:config can change almost anything on firefox can someone use it to disable my master password.
So I want to know if some geeky bozo can disable my master password in about:config.

No, you can't disable the Master Password via about:config. You can only do that via the "Options > Security" and you need to enter the current MP. If you would reset the MP then all saved passwords would be lost.
