Latest version of Firefox continually crashing at random

I have been having a problem with Firefox for the last number of days whereby the browser is continually crashing at random. It can happen when I simply load a website or when I go to change tabs. My drop down menus are also going very wonky at times, with the text being blurry and sometimes scrambled - when that occurs I know a crash is imminent.

I am using the latest version of FireFox and Flash player, and a complete reinstall of the browser has not solved the problem. Any help is appreciated!

EDIT: The browser even crashed when I went to submit this question.

The first crash ID is a problem with the graphics display driver.

Did you try to disable hardware acceleration ?

Perhaps a little tweaking is in order. Shockwave and Java were outdated and needed re-installation on mine! Took a couple of efforts with restarts but it is obvious that it solved my problems! Firefox Mozilla Toolbar 'Help' > 'Firefox Help' > lower right side of page displays link to Plugin Update review....

Unfortunately the linked crash report is empty (@ EMPTY: no crashing thread identified; corrupt dump) and doesn't include any data, so it is not possible to find the cause of the crash.

Did you recently submitted other crash reports that do show a crashing thread?

Hey all, thanks for the helpful comments so far. Mike, I have tried uninstalling Flash player, Shockwave and Java to test the issue yet FireFox continues to crash unexpectedly after doing so.

Cor-el, the vast majority of the reports generated have failed to create a dump for some reason. However I notice that this one from this morning has some information in it so it may be of help to you.

EDIT: There was another crash when I clicked the link I posted above. It seems to have no dump information unfortunately.

Thanks, disabling hardware acceleration seemed to solve it.
