Google Web Search simply does not work. I cannot use it at all. I'll give pictures as examples:

However, if I use the image search, it does work:

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b232/emerald_typhoon/Example2.jpg

Then it will do the Web Search if the text box has already done the search. You go to the top and click on Search next to Images, and the results will show up. I've gone through with a friend to see if it's a computer based problem, and it only occurs on Fire Fox. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Did you try to clear the Google cookies?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can also do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

It was the Firebug Extension that was causing this problem. I disabled it and it works perfectly now. Thanks!
