After running perfect optimizer bookmarks aren't working right

The bookmark sidebar pane only shows 3 bookmarks (none of which are mine and I can't delete them). This applies to both displaying and organizing my bookmarks. At first I couldn't find my bookmarks at all, but by restoring a previous list I then was able to get them to appear temporarily by clicking bookmarks - but they still don't show up in the sidebar pane.
