Hi Dottie70, I'm sorry to hear about this problem. Are you getting the error covered the the following article:
Fix "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message
Before trying those steps, you might shut down Windows and restart it first to see whether that frees up locked files or otherwise helps with this problem.
No, I don't get an error message, I've tried all the solutions I could understand! Thanks anyway.
