Firefox deinstalled and then reinstalled, but the originally installed version keeps appearing and opening, whereas the newly installed one is... nowhere?
I first installed Firefox on Oct. 1. After having installed the add-on NoScript, I could not use my e-mail-account any more, even if I "trusted everything on this site", so I deinstalled NoScript, which did not help with the use of my e-mail-account. So today (Oct. 19) I deinstalled Firefox and then downloaded Firefox again. I dragged the app into the applications-list and removed the dmg-file. But now, whenever I open Firefox, the system tells me that this is a new file... Also, the app in the applications-list shows Oct. 1 as date and not Oct. 19, even though it is the app of todays download that I dragged there. Before I deinstalled Firefox today, I removed some profile-file following this: https://support.mozilla.org/de/kb/benutzerprofile-mit-ihren-persoenlichen-daten#w_wie-finde-ich-mein-profil Thank you.

I have finally solved the problem myself. So I tried to delete or remove my question, but I couldn´t find a way.
