ScrapBook metadata search does not work

I have been using ScrapBook extension for a number of years and collected over 6000 pages. I have discovered recently that metadata searches (in Title, Comment or All) do not work. Firefox crashes when I am trying to find something that way. Full text search works fine. And the tree looks to be in order, too. How can I fix the search problem? I have every version of scrapbook.rdf for all these years backed up. I have the latest versions of both Firefox and Scrapbook, and I use Windows 7 Ultimate with all the latest
