FF will not print entire page, cut off on left

Web pages etc print in chrome. It is not even just a web page, but a receipt or a recipe that the left margin is so huge that much of the page is cut off. I have found help online and set all my preferences as instructed, but it doesn't help. Thanks for your help

Specifically, which preferences did you "set"?

There are unfortunately a variety of page layouts that Firefox does not print well.

On some sites, there is a specific print-formatted page available (sometimes indicated with a printer icon, sometimes on a menu) that works best for printing. On other sites, that might not be an option.

Are you printing the full page or printing a selection?

For my printer, to fit to page, etc...etc, and I did the same for FF. Set it to fit to page and same margins as default. It usually works fine. It prints a full page when using a word processing program or a test page from my printer software, which left me with FF... any ideas?

Please see this for resetting your printer prefs from within Firefox. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox#w_reset-firefox-printer-setting

A preference with .print_margin_left at the end is more than likely real messed up. A pref like that would be .25 (1/4" for US paper sizes) as the default and it is probably like 6 characters long after the decimal point.

When this happens, it's not so much a 'page', but within the page a link or printer image to print a printer-ready image. Those don't seem to work in FF. Is that what you mean when you say some don't work? I will try the edmeister's solution when I'm done with my next client. thanks

Sometimes a printer-ready image is a PDF document displayed in Firefox's PDF viewer or the Adobe Acrobat PDF viewer. In that case, for best results, using the printer icon on the PDF viewer toolbar, or the floating toolbar that appears near the bottom of the PDF when you move your mouse in that direction.
