I've tried with all the addons disabled and the captions still don't show. The captions work on chrome tho.

Do you see the captions button on the player?

Did you check the Option button in the Captions link?

Is Firefox using the Flash player or an HTML5 player?

Could you give an example, an address of a video that should show captions (closed captioning I assume) but they do not show? Thanks.

So the captions here are subtitles for the song, i for one can't see it in firefox and neither in Nightly but they do work in Chrome. So it's something from firefox.

All i can see is the black background but no text.

@cor-el

yeah...i didn't notice anything wrong in the advance option settings... but it seems the text was set to transparent... Don't know how it came to be like that since i never touched the settings before >_>...

10x for making me look again thus solving my problem.

I don't know how this feature is created, but I do see the text on my system (also Windows 7).

It's in an area where advertising overlays might be shown so if you have any extensions in Firefox or external software that block ads on videos, that could be relevant.

(In case it's relevant, this installation of Firefox has hardware acceleration of graphics disabled.)
