Recently FireFox stops responding & I have to terminate it with the task manager & restart it. I am using Windows XP Home Edition SP3 with 2GB memory. I am running FireFox v4.0.1. This is more irritating than having to reboot because my free memory is too small after becoming unavailable by using FireFox. That also is a chronic problem...

Hi, you can always try running it in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox and/or a fresh (new) profile 2 help isolate the problem?..;) :)

^^ I mean, 2 c if an add-on (extension), or a plugin's the problem.
