Firefox is not accepting any addresses:

Hello, I have the following problem.

First, Firefox wouldn't start at all. Then I undertook the following repair attempts:

Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, keeping the profiles during installation - still won't start. Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, not keeping the profiles during installation - still won't start. Uninstalled Firefox and deleted the entire AppData\Roaming\Mozilla folder (backed up first) - it starts. I have always uninstalled via the Windows Control Panel and downloaded (multiple times) and installed the latest version of Mozilla.

Now Firefox is not accepting any addresses. Additionally, it doesn't respond to any commands in the upper area: plugins, settings, etc. do not respond when clicked.

I uninstalled Bitdefender and also turned off the firewall, but it didn't help. I don't know what to do anymore. Can someone please help me?

Specifications:

Did you also remove the Moziila/Firefox folder as well from the Program/Files or Program64/Files folder? If your trying to remove it complete this will insure no Firefox folder remains and reinstall latest version and see if this changes anything. Remember doing this wipes clean any save data and profile from Firefox doing this. Hopefully this insure a clean Firefox install. This is the drastic last resort to wipe clean and start over. Caution only do this if you need to do this.

Hello Markwarner22,
