ever since i was in Portugal, and a repairman needed my phone to access our contract for a car repair, my web pages constantly show up in Portuguese. no matter what i set my page to, and it SHOWS it is set in English, i still keep getting pages opening up entirely in Portuguese..and have to work my way thru to reset it BACK to English.

what  is going on ?

You can check the preferred languages for webpages.

The second language setting in Settings is about the preferred languages for webpages.

You can check the connection settings in case you use a Proxy or VPN service.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a Proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work.
