I just refreshed Firefox. Now my sidebar with bookmarks is gone, and so is the icon to get it back. Help!

I just refreshed Firefox. Now my sidebar with bookmarks is gone, and so is the icon to get it back. I know I have too many bookmarks, but some of them I really want back! What can I do? If you all are not using the sidebar now, what do you use instead (and how?)

You can toggle the bookmarks sidebar via the "Ctrl+B" keyboard shortcut. There is also a Sidebar (Show sidebars) button available in the Customize palette that you can drag on the toolbar.
