Firefox rejects SSL certificate; no error message; no way to circumvent
Problem 1: Connection fails
I am trying to access https://fahrkarten.bahn.de which fails and shows
"Secure Connection Failed: The connection to fahrkarten.bahn.de was interrupted while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."
Note that this is just the most recent website I am experiencing the problem with. It happens to me very frequently and on a variety of pages.
Problem 2: No information
The error messege could not be more non-descriptive.
There is no explanation why the connection was allegedly interrupted. The website works fine in other browsers. The "Show site information" button next to the URL line only says "Connection is not secure" and "Connection is not encryped". It does not say why or what is wrong.
Problem 3: There is no way to stop firefox from thinking for me
Similar questions in this support forum, like https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1058856 , https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1122971, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1071777 are typically resolved without explanation except (some website has updated its certificate), (someone has fixed some problem), (the problem has magically disappeared), etc.
It should be up to the user to decide what private information they want to reveal to some MITM-attacker (instead of only to Google like everybody else). There should be some way to configure firefox not to do this and it should be possible to find it in the support pages.
Version is 53.0.3 on Linux

Let's do # 1 When I go there ( https://fahrkarten.bahn.de ) I get a warning drop down that the page wants to redirect me. With a Allow Button far right top. Since the page redirects, why not use the redirect url (which I am not going to go to). ?
SO I do not get a error message so the problem is with in your browser. Unless it is the redirected page that gives the error. (which not going to go to).
The URL above has a Symantic Certificate and is Encrypted. When I put mouse over the secure url it still says valid when right clicked.

Note that Firefox has two very different error pages:
- "Your connection is not secure" -- page generally has an "Advanced" button to get more technical information.
- What do the security warning codes mean?
- Troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites (this is where your MITM comes in)
- "Secure Connection Failed" -- typically has scantier information about the problem and if the padlock appears normally, can be taken to mean "connection failed"
