FF works intermittently, then freezes. No fix suggested have worked.

What have you tried so far?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
In response: What have I tried. The suggested fixes that I found published are: Tune up Disable add-on restart Download reinstall Each of these did not fix the problem Plug-ins: OpenH264 MIG Contents Java 8 Update 66 Build17 Default Browser Helper Shockwave Flash Change Profile. (This is a single computer, there is no profile as such) I am using El Captain on an iMac. Is FF compatible? Thanks for the responses.
