my bookmark tool bar is gone. The tutorials don't work for me. Help!!

when I click on the menu button on the far right there is no toolbars drop down menu as explained in the tutorial. Its just blank.

When I go to view-> Toolbars and click on the book mark tool bar the checkmark will come and go when I click on it but nothing changes in the tool bars

When I started up forefox, as it was loading I saw my original book mark tool bar and thought it was fixed but then as everything finished booting up it disappeared again and now I can't make it re-appear.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.

  • View > Toolbars (press F10 to show the Menu bar)
  • Right-click empty toolbar area

Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.

  • check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the "Restore Defaults" button to restore the default toolbar setup
