I keep getting this message when using Chatgpt: "This page is slowing down firefox. To speed up your browser, stop this page." When this happens I have to click stop which wipes the whole chat. I've asked ChatGPT to not put in pictures as that seems to collapse the chat much earlier. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Rn it's the only thing stopping me from completely switching over to firefox. I would like to have desktop icons for each of my firefox profiles that let me sign in and continue with the selected profile. Chrome currently has a straight forward way to do this, I was wondering if firefox had the same support. I've attached a screenshot for context. TIA!

I just upgraded to 158.0.1. When I do a "Save page as: Web page, Complete", why does Firefox now add a random five characters to the end of all of the filenames in the xx_files folder?? How do I stop this?

Hi, I have been using Firefox a lot in the past, mostly on macOS, without too much of a problem. A couple of years ago converted to chrome-based browser, not entirely sure, but I think it was mainly due to a couple of chrome add-ons that at that time I could not find a Firefox equivalent for.

I recently switched back to primarily using Firefox, mainly because it more lenient on my older cpu's. (less puffing and panting and fans spinning up)

Question: I would say I'm a fairly from left to right person in the sense that I expect new tabs to appear to the right. I have recently been struggling with Firefox: - mainly: when I e.g. want to drag out a tab to a new window, or use right-click on a tab, then "Move tab to new window", what often happens is that that specific tab, while moving, takes 5 other tabs with it - how can I disable or change this behaviour? - I have also experienced quite some times, e.g. I have several FF windows, working in one of them, and doing cmd-t to open a new tag, then the new tag opens, but jumps to some weird location, all be it in that same window, but definitely not to the right of the tab where the command was issued from.

I have the followin add-ons installed: - Detach Tab - Move Tab to new window and quite a couple of other that I guess are not tab related.

I have recently moved to Firefox and now am trying to customize my shortcuts (MacBook Air M1). The "Customize keyboard shortcuts" page doesn't open as shown with about:keyboard. However I find I can simply dismiss from the normal search page but need to limit the number of them as it seems to be going through the whole list of recent searches! I've tried to use Firefox 3 times this morning. Each time I get the message that it isn't responding and my whole laptop freezes. Each time I've rebooted but the problem is still there.

Each time this happens there has been an update that I've manually dismissed. I'm backing up every day now in case I lose anything when there is an update.

Is there anything more that I can do

Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve trying to open Firefox\/

whenever I try to set a passkey in mozilla, the windows security popup appears. I have looked online about turning it off but I cannot find anything. For example, I cannot set my passkey for my gmail account because the popup and gives no other options. When I select 'try another way', all they want is my password so the passkey does not get set.

Although I have Firefox (on Windows 11)

set to block audio & video as the default for all sites, no exceptions listed, nevertheless one site (the NY Times, but possibly others) shows videos that sometimes appear to stall the browser. One address in particular seems to do this. Here is a sample line:

Is there a way to prevent it from getting around the blocking?

I have a bazillion saved addresses with many duplicates. Is there a way to delete ALL of those in one shot instead of selecting them one by one? I use FF on Android and Windows 11.
