Hidden windows taskbar won't pop up when Firefox is running

I'm running Windows seven and have my taskbar on auto-hide. After the most recent update to Firefox when the browser is in fullscreen my taskbar won't unhide itself. If I don't have the browser in fullscreen or if I alt-tab out to some other window everything works fine. This isn't the biggest problem in the world, but it is inconvenient and I was wondering if there is a solution.

Does it help if you disable hardware acceleration?

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Nope, tried it and the taskbar still wouldn't pop up.

Ok, apparently it was just a problem with that set of windows. I had another instance of the browser open and noticed that it had less space at the top when in fullscreen, so I guess that instance of Firefox just wasn't registering my hidden taskbar or something.

I think the problem might be that in this instance of the browser the little Firefox drop down menu isn't moving to alongside the tabs when in fullscreen, but is staying above them.
