I like to use specific font sizes, such as 11 or 12. Thunderbird appears to have only small, medium, and large font sizes. Does Thunderbird have specific font sizes?

Thunberbird uses points not pixels. Here is complete info on setting fonts. This is a response I wrote last year and it still applies. Follow it in detail and you will be successful. A tip: focusing on the HTML options is not the best way.
