I can receive emails containing pictures but can not send pictures from my computer.

I have gone into my pictures on my computer and right clicked then picked send to, choose mail receipent and then choose picture size as smaller. It looks like it is going to go through to the email so that I can add an email address but nothing happens. Please help

Try to compose the message in Thunderbird and then add the picture as an attachment. For large attachments take a look at the FileLink feature. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/filelink-large-attachments
