I am receiving concerning pop-ups pretending to come from Firefox or Mozilla

I am receiving popups - sometimes five to seven, stacked, and purporting to be from Firefox or Mozilla but having a clearly "poisonous" URL, The popups warn that my computer is infected with a dangerous virus and want to to click on them to remove it.

I do have an anti-viral program installed - "McAfee".

I went on the Mozilla page regarding reporting bugs but it is a bit above my pay grade to understand.

No worries, there's no need to report any bug, it's just a matter of permissions. That most likely comes from a site that you allowed to send you notifications in the past. The article Web Push notifications in Firefox has the details including a section on revoking said permissions.

It would be nice if these web push notifications had a small link on bottom of the small popups or such to the KB article so people know what they are and how to revoke the sites.
