Sidebar
How do I remove the annoying sidebar on the side in Firefox? I have read and tried all the advice and none work. How do get rid of it permanently? I have read the help from Tech Support etc none work! I do not want it. Thank you.

Click Customize sidebar at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Show and hide sidebar. Now the sidebar button next to the address will disable the sidebar.
When I click that nothing opens up to say hide sidebar. I do not have a sidebar button.
When it finally came up and I moved it to "Show and Hide sidebar" nothing changed, it is still there! I need it gone!
Post a full browser screenshot. I have another laptop and just installed Firefox and saw that terrible side bar, but was able to make it go away.
