since upgrading to latest version of firefox i have only icons in my firefox bookmarks; checking 'icons and text' in my 'customise bookmarks' only affects google toolbar not Firefox, how can I get icons and text in Firefox bookmarks?

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
