Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Make sure that you remember download history

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember download history"

It is also possible that there is a problem with the file downloads.sqlite
Try to delete the file downloads.sqlite in the Profile Folder
