So as of January I was no longer able to use the Youtube app on Amazons Firestick so they added Firefox so users could access Youtube there. The old Youtube app worked perfectly fine but the new one through Firefox crashes after 5-10 minutes of video play (depending on the quality). Usually after crashing, I have to pull the plug on the Firestick and reset it. This is unacceptable. The old Youtube app worked fine so I conclude that its an issue with the Firefox app. Most likely a memory issue where it is not properly clearing out old data to make room for new data.

Hi

I think I know how we can help fix this for you.

From the homescreen in Fire TV:

  1. Select Settings
  2. Then Applications
  3. Scroll down to Manage Installed Applications
  4. and select Firefox
  5. From the options available, select Clear Data (then Clear Data again)
  6. Press the home key to go back to the Fire TV homescreen where you can reopen Firefox for Fire TV

This should resolve this issue, but if not, please come back here and let us know which sites you are visiting that is causing this issue and we can look into this further for you.

Seems to work so far, Thanks!
