When is the "502 Bad Gateway" return going be corrected?
After pointing to the Firefox icon the browser box returns "502 Bad Gateway."

Hi Chuck, what happens if you try a different site, either one of your bookmarks or just type in any address or do a search using a different site, does that give the same error, or is it specific to your home page or default search engine?
Could you check for any modified connection settings here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
In the left column, click Advanced, then above the page on the right, Network, then the "Settings" button.
The default of "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on your Windows/IE "LAN" settings, but you also could try "No proxy".
If that doesn't turn up any surprises or make any difference, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.
If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
and OK the restart.
Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).
Any improvement? (More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode)
