I regularly use a website that requires a new password every ninety days. I cannot figure out how to force Firefox to remember the new password, as the Remember Password box does not appear when the new password is set. Can you post a breakdown of the steps taken to manually save a password, as the automatic function is not working?

Make sure that you not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Uncheck: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
