I am trying to add VPN to Firefox but there is no "VPN" showing on my Firefox browser for me to click on. I recently cancelled my Mozilla VPN subscription.

Hi there, The Firefox built-in VPN is offered as a progressive rollout to users in the U.S., U.K., Germany and France, as mentioned in the Firefox 149 release notes. It is also offered to users in Canada, starting in Firefox version 150. It is not available to everyone, even if you are in one of these locales.

If the built-in VPN is available, you would see a VPN icon in the top-right corner of the toolbar, that opens a prompt to turn on the VPN. You would also need to sign in to a Mozilla account. For more infomation, see the Use built-in VPN in Firefox article.

If you wish, you can post your feedback about the Firefox built-in VPN to the Mozilla Connect thread.

I just updated to Firefox 150. The What's New page advertises the Firefox VPN. I also don't see the VPN icon on the tool bar. I've gone to the customize tool bar page and the VPN is not there. I am in the U.S. When is this going to rolled out to all the users in the markets where it's presumably available?

The about:config preference browser.ipProtection.enabled controls if the VPN button shows up or not. Most likely it's set to false. Toggling it to true should turn it on. Apparently it is on a progressive roll-out.

Here's a Reddit thread that talks about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/1s2ik4l/introducing_firefoxs_builtin_vpn_ip_protection/
