I have found in the settings where it looks like I can increase the font size to better see and read my emails, but it does not affect what I have.

I have found in the settings where it looks like I can increase the font size to better see and read my emails, but it does not affect what I have. How to increase font size to make reading easier?

The 'easy' way is to click the hamburger menu in upper right and see if the font size option there satisfies your need. Failing that, this URL explains in detail how to set your font size for messages.
