Whenever I play videos on YouTube in Firefox, the video is always choppy and does not run smoothly. I’ve tried restarting the browser and checking my internet connection, but the issue continues. This problem only happens in Firefox, not in other browsers.

Hi,

Can you share more details about the issue you're experiencing? Without more details, there's not much we can do to help.

When posting questions, it's helpful to include information such as your operating system, browser version, specific error messages, and the steps you've taken to try solve the issue. This kind of context allows the community members to provide a more accurate and effective solution.

Looking forward to your update!

I have the same problem. Sound starts and video jumps thru single images for about 30 seconds before smooth video. Video runs fine if I download it. Same file runs normally in Chrome. Repeat no issue with Chrome.

Win 11, FF 144.0.2, all extensions off. I use Surfshark VPN.

Video runs the same with VPN on or off.

Hi John,

I filed a bug report on that some time ago, but it hasn't been triaged yet.

Youtube videos seem to work better after the 145.0.2 upgrade. Win 11. The problem isn't solved but the video usually plays normally after about 10 seconds. I don't have to use Chrome and Edge gets removed as soon as Microsoft reinstalls it.

Extensions on or off and VPN on or off doesn't seem to make a difference.

My ISP is Starlink. Speed is normal, a little faster w/o VPN.
