On a new tab page, I have unselected "recommended stories" and added four rows of shortcuts. Almost invariably, when I open a new tab, Firefox has added a couple of new shortcuts, bumping two of mine off the page. The shortcuts I've selected are the ones I want. I would like Firefox to stop making suggestions. Does anyone know if that's possible, and, if so, how do you do it?

Hi Ed

I think all you may need to do is "pin" the shortcuts you want to the new tab page. This support article should help:

Thanks. Of the 24 shortcuts, two were unpinned. Maybe they were allowing the intruders. I pinned those two. We'll see what happens now.
