Thunderbird will not accept any of my passwords. I get this error message : "login to server smtp-mail.outlook.com failed."

The correct outgoing server name is smtp.office365.com. Also see https://support.mozilla.org/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202
