the recent upgrade caused a massive download of about 4.5 gb about half of my monthly bandwidth. what gives ???
up until the last upgrade I had no problems. With the upgrade there is a slow down on some sites going to different pages. I checked and there was over 4.5 gb of data downloaded to my computer. I am using Dishnetwork as a provider. That download used up about half a months worth of data from Dish. How do you compensate for that. I had no trouble with the previous version of firefox but I don't appreciate that kind of loss.
Please advise.

The Firefox 35 update was 42.3 MB for me on WinXP - less then 1/10 th of what you are claiming.
here is a screenshot of the download history I use the utility Networx monitor for keeping track of my net usage. Over a period of a month I havew 10 gb available from Dish network. as you can see over a 13 hour period close to 5 gb of data downloaded. why would I do something like that with 10 gb available for the month????
As I remember the download of the update was something like 15 mb but I expderienced a long delay of getting back to the net and there were slow downs visiting newssites such as rawstory , msnbc, and truthdig.
I can revert back to the previous version. but is do I just suck up the loss of data. I amgetting stuff such as porno , cooking , building videos and a lot of crap I certainly did not personally access.
all of this only after the upgrade.
I am really really upset.
