Recently I started to experience an issue that whenever I would specifically download a file using the Firefox web broswer for Android, my mobile would temporarily lose it's cell reception. After a few seconds it reconnects. The issue does not appear when downloading (for example) images from the Wikipedia mobile application, or using the Google Chrome browser. The issue is still present when using wi-fi or a VPN connection. This makes me very concerned about my privacy and the safety of my data on my device. The android version used is Android 11 and the app was updated as of September 9th

For the last month I've been having this issue when downloading things from Firefox beta I get this "com.android.phone has stoped working" along with "phone has stopped" error anytime I download something.

Everything is better in Firefox except the download manager. Most of the time when I try to download any file or video it fails. Please improve your download manager.

When i download movies and web series download start but some time network problem stop download. Some browser like brave, samsung internet are started failed download automatically but firefox doesn't and when i tap on retry download start but always in zip file doesn't extract. Hello Mozilla team, provide a way for us to view our downloading file in the app itself and not on the notification bar, for me it doesn't help at all. If not so, then is it really necessary for me to lose my downloading file when I clear the Mozilla app from my recent apps? Isnt it supposed to continue downloading even when the app is cleared? Please solve this.

This recent update in how PDFs are handled is really poor. The responses to the effects of the update seem really arrogant.

No, your PDF viewer is not better than Adobe reader. Even if it was, I want the choice to download directly to my preferred app, even if you think it sucks. I thought Mozilla was all about choice? That's why I thought I donated monthly. I want control over the software I use. It's been a pattern with Mozilla, for example, removing about:config for people who don't want dev builds.

Just like desktop Firefox, I want to choose how to handle files and choose how my software works:

It's seems odd that I'm even explaining this. Please revert this change, it's bad for so many reasons. Please also consider why the culture at Mozilla is giving users less control, not more.

Hello! I use this tab. Galaxy Tab A (2016), unfortunately it is not capable to safe files from Firefox, e.g. PDF files. Samsung browser is working but I like to use Firefox. Best regards Ted Ernhill

Hi there, Firefox on Android is unable to show a progress on files that is currently being downloaded. It does, show notification, and I can pause and cancel it from there, but the details are unknown, the progress bar doesn't tell how much bytes has been downloaded and when i press pause and resume, the state is horribly unknown, the progress becomes 0%, etc. What I want is that Downloads menu in three-dots menu must show this too, not only the files that has been downloaded.

When I download a file, a notification pops up when the download is complete. I find this quite annoying, especially when downloading file in a bit of rapid succession.

Is there some way to turn this off on FF mobile?

I tried... about:config > browser.download.alwaysOpenPanel on the nightly build, but after having created the option, it doesn't seem to work.

I would be forever indebted to any suggestions y'all can provide.

So, new phone and FF upgraded, now when I download there is no indication that my file is actually downloading, either on the phone status bar or in FF downloads. Is there somewhere I should be looking to see if a file is "currently" downloading?

Last time I have fillup online form in efrro and after submitting final form and then my form couldn't download automatically or there was not option of download and when I was saving as pdf it was also not working so please improve this problem or otherwise I will leave to use it.

How can the android FF app not have a way of showing progress of downloads? I find this absolutely bizarre, when every other browser does this. It's critical information to have. You have no idea how much has downloaded or how long is left, the downloads window is just blank until it's fully completed downloading an item.

Dear firefox team

I can not download anything on my tablad. If I try do download a file (PDF) from my Study programm it opens automatically in the firefox browser. I do not have the option to open the files with a different App (eg. Samsung notes) and if I click on Downloads, it says there are no downlads existing even thou its opend in the browser. 2 months ago it worked fine and and I uninstall the App, put all Settings back to the orgininal and it still does not work. Please help.
