Firefox icon just bounces around, I have to force quit to stop it. I DO NOT WANT THIS TOOL BUT I WANT TO USE FIREFOX. Your browser dead ass just doesn't respond when I click on it. I have a new mac mini 4 and have the latest update for firefox. it's absolute dogshit to be honest. I'm lucky if the browser lets me click on anything, eg., bookmarks, add-ons, history are nonfunctional. Also my tabs on the browser get squished together and superimposed such that 2-3 separate tabs appear as though they are one tab. I have never had an issue like this before when using firefox. I don't encounter the issue with safari or chrome, but I don't like those browsers. Do you have insight as to why firefox mozilla is suddently ass?
I just updated my Firefox web browser and lost all of my favorites along with passwords. How can I get them back?

Hello,
Google Drive today stopped loading properly. I keep getting the rotating circle or "working" in the lower left corner of the browser window. I can get it to load fine in Safari and Chrome.
Docs and sheets I already had open, I seem to be able to interact with and edit normally. But navigating the main file path in Google drive, opening folders, and opening files isn't working.
I would really prefer to not switch browsers, as my entire workflow is set up on Firefox.
Suggestions?
Thanks, Sarah

I haven’t used Firefox in years. Recently, I got a new Mac M mini with the M4 chip and I’m trying to use Firefox as my primary browser because many websites don’t seem to work with Safari. Now, I’m facing a big dilemma. I don’t remember the password for Firefox from the past. It doesn’t seem to remember it, and I can’t change it. Every time I try to use Firefox, it keeps asking for this password. Can you please help me reset the password and set up a Firefox account that works seamlessly with my fingerprint as a password? If this is not possible, I’ll have to choose not to use the service.
Firefox updated last night and all of my tabs closed and will no longer open. They've always restored, even when I restarted my computer.

I usually have a lot of pages open on Firefox and the display in the dock gets packed, if you will. I would like to see an option in the settings to turn the dock display off, just for your program, Firefox. It would be nice to toggle this option. I've searched for about an hour trying for an option and a solution. Thanks for your good works. I'm on an early Mac Mini 15.7.1
Take care. Have fun.

The article explaining why one should not downgrade ignores a critical reason why one needs to downgrade and that is when it turns out that the new version breaks an existing website!
I got bitten by this when Firefox "upgraded" me to V143 after which point the ticket system I use to support my customers stopped working. That same ticket system continues to work fine in Safari, Edge, Chrome and Brave, etc.
Worse, when one does try to downgrade, the old profile gets removed which means you lose EVERYTHING you had (tabs, bookmarks and presumably all the settings and saved passwords, etc). You need to be keeping the old profiles around so that they can be accessed again should someone NEED to downgrade. Fortunately I was able to use Time Machine to recover the old profile --- but somebody just didn't think this through.
Much as I have loved Firefox over the years, I'm starting to feel that it's time to give up on it and move to something else.
Turning off automatic updates is not a solution because eventually one will choose to upgrade manually and most people won't remember to make a copy of their existing profile. Should one then encounter a problem, you're back to square one
Very disappointing .
