Redirect website to authentification portal

Hello,

When I try to visit a specific journal site that requires authentication, the browser automatically redirects me to an authentication page that I have used before. This is very annoying because every time I click a link to the journal, I’m sent to the other portal and can’t access the article. I want to stress that I haven’t installed any add‑on that would cause this redirection. I think I did that myself manually but I have no idea how. I’ve already deleted the cookies for both sites, but nothing has changed. I hope that makes sense, it’s a bit difficult to explain.

I'm using firefox 147.0, on mac Tahoe 26.2.

Thanks for the help !

You need to show the issue because it sounds like we need an account in order to replicate your issue. I'm guessing it's not free so that's why you need to show the issue.

Do you have the same issue with Firefox in Troubleshoot mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode

Did you clear the browser cache? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache

Hi, thanks for your answer. I did try to clear the cache but it did not work. But I don't have the problem in troubleshooting mode or in private browsing mode. What do you mean by "show the issue" ?

"Show the issue" means post a screenshot so we can see your browser, but it sounds like an add-on issue if it's not happening in troubleshoot or private mode.
