For the last two days my emails have been downloaded but are almost unreadable. There is no longer any text in the Subject box or the Correspondent box and the content displayed is almost unreadable. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, running two different System scans but nothing seems to have worked. The corrupted messages appear normally in Mailbird and Thunderbird on my phone. Has anyone any helpful suggestions regarding this problem? It's driving me crazy!

In the last week or so Thunderbird 141 leaves POP3 messages on server, even though Leave Messages on Server is unchecked in Server Settings. As the messages are left on my ISP server, they get repeatedly downloaded into TB resulting in several multiples of the same message. I subsequently installed Remove Duplicates Add-On, but that only temporarilty cleans up the mess. I have several times compacted folders, but no improvement. I even unselected Automatically Download New Messages in Server Settings and the other two choices under Leave Messages on Server, but no joy -- multiple messages are only slowed down. The only unsatisfactory way to stop all this is for me to manually delete messages from my ISP webmail client after I see they are downloaded into TB. Everything in TB was working perfectly until recently. My ISP is unaware of any recent changes to settings on their end. TB is installed on a fully updated Windows10 Pro 64 bit PC. I have tried all suggestions found online and in Mozilla Support over the years, which haven't worked. Please advise if there is something I have missed OR there is a fix to this now or upcoming. I use the flickr website many times during the day without issue, unti now. When trying to login this time I get the message shown in the attached image. I have gone through all the usual procedures, clearing cookies etc, including starting Firefox in safe mode, but still the problem persists and I am now at a loss. As a test, I even installed the Chrome browser and I was able to log into flickr with no problem. I have a laptop running Window 11 and the latest Firefox and the problem is the same on that - no flickr login.

I installed tunderbird 128.13.0esr via flatpak on Kubuntu 25.04.

On the system settings I've set the time format to "English (Nethelands)" which uses day/month/year for dates.

Thunderbird settings only date format options are: Application locale: English (United States) Regional settings locale: English (United States)

Can I change that anywhere? I don't want the US date format

I have used Thunderbird with a POP account for years and suddenly it has stopped deleting old messages from the server when I select "get messages". The server setting for "leave messages on server" is definitely not ticked. Am I missing something or could this be a problem on the server?

All of a sudden Firefox started to use alt+number (e.g. alt+3) to switch to that tab (i.e. tab 3 in my example).

Why? How do I disable this? It prevents me from typing any of the special characters that are located on alt + any number key. E.g. I can type the at-sign, not the dollar, or any such character which requires the alt-modifier and a number.

The behavior is the same whether the served image is jpg or webp. A Servlet delivers the image data, here in webp:

          response.setHeader("Content-Type", "image/webp");

On page, I use a canvas thus => see '// FIREFOX'

Well it seemed that your website worked good at first I think because we cannot use an ad blocker. I think interferences come in from pop-ups one of them is called Yum Yum or bubblegum. There’s a bunch of different pop-ups in the interfere with your website when I click the little X on their pop-up Advertisement then your webpage works they’re not even PCH ads they’re a third-party ad which I wish you could eliminate I just switch back to Safari which is not as fast as DuckDuckGo that Safari stops the pop-ups but doesn’t work as fast as DuckDuckGo as a default there’s something wrong I know that ad blockers block a lot of interference when working on a webpage unfortunately PCH will not allow add blockers and by doing that they allow these Yum Yum and other websites to pop up and interfere that’s about all I can tell you maybe there’s a fix and maybe there’s not I guess it’s one of those obstacles living in the country or rule areas.

I try to move my profile from one computer to another. There are some obsolete accounts with emails I still need. These obsolete accounts where removed from email server but I still need emails from obsolete accounts locally. My Thunderbird profile with obsolete accounts works perfect on the old computer, but when I move profile to a new computer and launch Thunderbird first time I can see all obsolete accounts and all emails but if I close Thunderbird and open Thunderbird again I can see obsolete accounts but Thunderbird removes all emails from them and I can see only empty Inbox folder. How can I prevent Thunderbird to delete emails from accounts it can not synchronise with email server? When I move Profile it is 164 GB, but after launching Thunderbird second time my profile become 80 GB so Thunderbird deletes all emails locally that it can not synchronise with the server.

Two things that happen that more or less come under the "Subject".

When composing an email, and inserting an image (e.g. signature) the email being worked in shifts to the background and Thunderbird goes back to the main page. This means I have to take steps to get back to the email I am working on.

When bringing up a search in a Thunderbird folder with Ctrl-Sft-F, and getting the Search box then choosing an email to check, when that email is closed Thunderbird does not stay with the Search box but goes back to the main page. This means I have to take steps to get back to the Search box I am working in.

On me demande de rentrer mes identifiants, mais ces messageries ont été configurées il y a plusieurs années et il me manque des éléments (mots de passe) pour les mettre à jour.
