my weather bug gadgets trys to open in internet explorer rather than firefox

this computer from the start would crash with internet explorer so my search engine is Mozilla Firefox i put a weather bug gadget to my desktop now when I try to open it it trys with internet explorer how do i change so it always opens with Firefox?

Have Firefox check to make sure that it is the default program. Firefox Options > Advanced > General. Also see if the gadget itself is calling IE.

Firefox isn't a search engine, it's a web browser.
Make sure Firefox is your default browser.
