How do I clear all history, I have it set on private browsing yet when I type 1 letter to go to a site it shows other sites I have been to underneath the bar..how do I stop it

What i said above.. other sites I have been on say monster.com fish.com if I go to type in m for anyother web page monster.com and all other M sites I have gone to . It will show underneath How come? I want it all gone. nothing saved..

Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> See below When using the location bar,suggest : Choose Nothing from drop down menu.
